Introduction to this week –
This week’s readings draw us into the heart of discipleship. Psalm 26 speaks of walking with integrity; Romans urges a love that is sincere, patient, and peace seeking; and in Matthew, Jesus turns toward Jerusalem and invites his followers into a life shaped not by self preservation but by self giving. Together, these passages remind us that faith is not only what we believe but how we live—steadfast, compassionate, and willing to follow Christ even when the path asks something of us.
