Introduction –
This Sunday we gather for A Service of Lessons and Carols, a tradition made popular by King’s College, Cambridge, in 1918 as a source of comfort and hope after World War I. Our service shares that same spirit, tracing God’s saving love through Scripture and song.
From the praise of Psalm 148 to the angelic announcements in Luke 1, Joseph’s dream in Matthew 1, the birth of Christ in Luke 2, and the faithful witness of Simeon and Anna, each reading invites us deeper into the wonder of the Incarnation. Interwoven carols give voice to our joy as we celebrate the Light who comes into the world.
May this service draw you into reflection, gratitude, and renewed hope as we continue our journey through the Christmas season.
