Sermon on the Mount

Sermon on the Mount

Introduction –

This week we will listen to the fullness of Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount—words that reveal what life looks like when God’s reign shapes our hearts and our community. Jesus blesses those the world overlooks, calls us into a deeper way of living grounded in mercy and integrity, and names the fears and fractures that touch every human life. Yet he also offers a path marked by compassion, humility, and trust in God’s care.

These teachings are both comfort and challenge: a reminder that God meets us in our need, and an invitation to embody Christ’s light in the world.

As we hear Jesus’ sermon read by Pastor Steve in its entirety, may we be open to the Spirit’s work—forming us into a people who reflect God’s hope, healing, and peace.
