This fourth Sunday of Advent we light the “love” candle on the Advent Wreath.
Continuing in our Advent theme, Let There Be…
Pastor Craig will share a message entitled, “Let There Be Love.”
In Pastor Craig’s message we will recall the story of the young Mary invited to be the bearer of the Redeemer and the temporary custodian of redemption. In Mary’s “yes” to God’s plan she must embrace real love, not an emotion, not romanticisms, but a commitment to follow God into the complication and difficulty of life. Today we think about how her love is a model for how Christians are to Let There Be Love.
This program will guide you through our worship service.
The Birth of Jesus Foretold
In this annunciation, Luke makes clear that God comes with good news for ordinary people (Mary) from little known places (Nazareth). This king will not be born to royalty in a palace, but to common folk in a stall. Here Luke highlights the role of the Spirit, a special emphasis in his gospel.
