Every culture across the world has portrayed Jesus in their art to look like themselves. It is a great comfort to be able to relate to Jesus as one like us. But on the Sunday of the Transfiguration, we do not meet a familiar Jesus who bears our resemblance. On the Mount of Transfiguration we meet Christ in splendor, glory, and power. His self-emptying love, his death and resurrection saves us. Instead of remaking Jesus in our image; Jesus’ mission is to remake us in His image. Join us as Pastor Craig gives the message entitled, “A Proper Transfiguration.”
This program will guide you through our worship service
The Transfiguration
Mark’s gospel presents the transfiguration as a preview of what would become apparent to Jesus’ followers after he rose from the dead. Confused disciples are given a vision of God’s glory manifest in the beloved Son
